Chronicle of a Crisis is an attempt to record the step by step evolution of the crisis in Greece between 2008-2018. This decade of political, economic and social upheaval was a key moment in the history of the Greek state and one of the most significant episodes of our young 21st century.
These years shaped and scared Greece and Europe but in a world where new crises appear around every corner the last crisis starts to fade from view. Therefore this project aims to record the different steps and events of this dramatic decade as they occurred as an aid to collective memory.
The aim is not to study every moment in detail or provide an all encompassing explanation but instead to provide the tools and resources for future study and reflection. This project is intended as an aid and starting point to anyone who wants to study these years. Once finished the Chronicle will provide a timeline of events as they unfolded and collect the reporting and analysis of the key moments.
